Sports Trivia App Turns One Format Into 15M Views & 7K Downloads

SnapBack Sports, a next-generation digital sports media company founded by Jack Settleman, has built a strong presence with Gen Z sports fans across Snapchat, YouTube, and social media.

About nine months ago, the company expanded into apps with a sports trivia product built around daily games, friend competition, and leaderboards. Last month, it reached 7K downloads.

To support the launch, they also created dedicated Instagram and TikTok pages just for the app. So far, those accounts have generated around 15M views combined, with 11.5M views on Instagram and another 4.8M on TikTok.

They post the same core format again and again: people playing the trivia game themselves and competing to see who gets the best score. The content feels less like a direct ad and more like entertainment built around the product.

Their most viral video featured a trivia game about guessing NFL team names. Posted on October 22, 2025, it reached 1.4M views.

Another format that performed well was the “Remember This Guy?” series. On October 8, 2025, one video reached 840K views.

More recently, they started doing collaborations with professional athletes. The format stays the same, but the guests make it more interesting.

On February 10, 2026, they posted a video where two NFL players guessed LeBron James’ former teammates, and it reached 400K views.

They already had a large sports media audience. What changed was the addition of a dedicated playbook for the app itself.

By building content around repeatable guessing formats, they are turning the product into a daily habit for sports fans.
