POV Cheating Drama: 27M views

We’ve been seeing more and more simple talking-style videos pull huge views on TikTok. Just like this cheating-drama format that is being repeated across cheating/drama apps.

The video usually just show someone doing something ordinary in the kitchen, cutting fruit, making a snack, moving around the house, while the whole story sits in one long POV sentence on screen.

Cheaterbuster posted one five days ago that pulled 20.1M views with this hook:

“POV: your (soon to be ex) husband is mad because you won’t let his girlfriend… the girl he cheated on you with and got pregnant… move into the house with your two kids”

There’s no direct CTA in the video, only a link in bio. This can help the post feel more natural and keeps the comments moving, but it also makes the product easier to miss.

This is not a new format for Cheaterbuster who has already used it in multiple waves: affiliate clips, confrontation skits, emotional talking videos.

But the latest is easier to produce and easier to scale.

The open question is conversion.

Sherlock posted a very similar video five days ago and pulled 6.8M views. Same setup, same emotional hook, same kind of product underneath.

But this time the app is pushed closer to the viewer with a direct caption CTA “use Sherlock app to check ur man”.

On screen hook: “listen to my husband’s reaction when he got caught cheating”
