Remember a few months ago when we wrote about Do It Clock, the three‑month‑old alarm app that hit 10M views in just 15 days? Well… we just found a new creator pushing the format with a new hook.
@lymar.wakeup films herself waking up with the alarm and completing whatever challenge the app gives her.
It’s the standard format, but one of her videos broke out with 1.7M views because she used a completely different hook.
In the clip, she says she needs to scan an object to perform Wudu, the Islamic purification ritual before prayer. It lands because the alarm only turns off when she scans a sink, forcing her to get up before dawn to “purify” herself for Fajr.
“my sister’s Fajr alarm only turns off when she scans a sink to do Wudu 💀”
The result: a format that’s still inside the alarm‑app trend, but with a cultural angle that feels fresh instead of repetitive.
