This setup format is spreading across both TikTok and Instagram. At this point it could be considered a trend, but it’s a strong format for apps to borrow : start with the reaction, then show the setup.
A creator opens with a face-to-camera reaction and a confession hook:
“I turned my MacBook into a farm and now I can’t work normally.”
Then the video cuts to the actual laptop setup: a desktop turned into a farm scene, with folders transformed into cows.
One creator @shreeversse did 6M views with less than 2k followers and big brand commenting like Microsoft.
