Four years later, it is still doing around $70K MRR despite barely bringing in new downloads.

Pocket Insight started its TikTok push in May 2022 through a faceless account called @readingby_taroqueen.
That account alone generated 37M views by repeating one very simple format: short tarot clips, mystical audio, and highly affirmative predictions designed to feel personal.
The structure is free to make, and easily repeatable.
A few seconds of tarot cards on screen. A hook like “This is your sign.” Then a vague but emotionally sticky line such as “a person with brown eyes is missing you” or “the best day of August will be the 15th.”
One example, “This is your sign (take it seriously),” reached 3.3M views and 63K saves.
The content was simple, but it converted because it created an emotional connection, pushing viewers curiosity towards the future. That step was always the same: “free personal reading in my profile link.” Users would tap through a referral link and land inside the app.
Two more accounts later followed the exact same strategy and also reached millions of views. Together, those three accounts pulled in more than 63M organic views.
But the real reason the app is still making money is the product funnel behind it.
Pocket Insight is built around a very specific monetization model: 3 free minutes → emotional hook → paid continuation.
The free chat is long enough to create a sense of intimacy with the psychic, but not long enough to resolve the actual question. Once that emotional tension is established, the app introduces credits and per-minute pricing, so continuing feels like the only way to get closure.
Because the use case is emotional and unresolved by nature, users tend to come back with the same questions and often stick to the same advisor. That combination of short free entry, mid-conversation paywall, and repeat reassurance, turns a small group of users into consistent, compounding revenue.
