“Tinder for Scholarships” App Hits Thousands of Comments in 7 Days

Scholarly launched around a month ago and turns scholarship search into a swipe flow.

Students fill out a profile, get matched with scholarships they actually qualify for, and save the ones they want.

It takes a process that usually feels endless and makes it feel a lot more like a feed.

That core idea is now starting to move on social.

For now, the distribution is still very small.

The brand is running one Instagram account and one TikTok account, both under @ricks.guide, and both are reposting the same UGC-style videos.

Even with that limited output, the Instagram side has already started to show real traction, after only a week of uploading, and 7 videos posted.

The clearest breakout came on May 20, when one video crossed 128K views with the hook:

“i love gen z because wdym someone got tired of scholarship applying so they made a tinder for scholarships that fit you”

He starts in selfie mode with a hand on his forehead, then moves into the swiping feature and shows how quickly users can move through scholarship opportunities.

The day before, another video gave an even stronger signal.

That one opened with:

“POV: You apply to 100 scholarships in a week”

It only reached around 40K views, but the engagement was unusually strong, with more than 2.2K comments.

As he mentions in the video, scholarship applications are a numbers game, and this app gives students a faster way into more opportunities.

Again, the comments filled up with people asking for the app.

What’s giving this app its early traction is mainly the “Tinder for scholarships” idea. It tells students everything they need to know in a second.
