New Couples App Hits 9K Downloads in 14 Days

UsTwo is a shared drawing lock-screen widget designed for couples and friends.

This single-feature app, launched just two weeks ago, has already reached 9K downloads and is currently sitting in the Top 100 in the U.S. Lifestyle category.

So far, the team is running a single TikTok account that has generated 2.1M views. They are posting aggressively, averaging three videos per day, with about 30 videos uploaded so far.

The most successful one hit 1.3M views on March 1, 2026 with the hook:

“making sure me and my bestie are on the same page”

Every video follows the same structure: two phones interacting on the lock screen, followed by a quick app reveal.

This format has become a strong growth engine for long-distance relationship apps because the feature itself is the demo. Viewers instantly understand what the app does in the first second.

We’ve already seen similar growth from apps like Lovio, Lovora, and Lovelee, all experimenting with different hooks while keeping the exact same visual setup.

At this point, the two-phones lockscreen interaction is starting to look like a built-in virality engine for couple apps.

UsTwo essentially showed that it’s still not too late to “abuse” it.
