Finanz vs Bloom: A Masterclass in What Scales

Finanz is an Italian educational app about saving and investing. It launched in 2022, and three years later, the numbers are still flat.

6K downloads total.

4M TikTok views since they started posting in July 2025.

The message is always the same” your generation won’t get a state pension, so start saving now”:

“POV: avete 23 anni… la pensione statale la vedrete solo con il binocolo.” → 292.9K views

“POV: You’re 23 and you’ve just discovered that you’ll only see a state pension through binoculars, so you create the Duolingo of finance to allow everyone to build it for themselves :)”

“Io che mi metto in punizione per non aver iniziato ad investire…” → 212.4K views

“Me putting myself in timeout for not starting to invest even just 50€ a month when I started working (It would have cost me nothing) (I don’t even want to know how much I’d have now) (I’m trying to make up for it with the Duolingo of finance)”

And yet, nothing converts.

Bloom works in the same space, finance education, but uses a totally different approach.

They streamlined the hook that was already effective.

Here’s what that looks like:

  • 20M+ TikTok views, not from one account but from a coordinated network.
  • Top video: 7M views
  • A seeded comment->“Bloom is the only reason why I even have 18k lol” -> with 41K likes, posted by another account inside their own network

Bloom sticks to the same format, again and again.

Relatable pain → creator reaction → product embedded. Bloom runs this loop across accounts, endlessly.

Despite Bloom’s success on TikTok, it hasn’t yet scaled, the app sits at only 20K downloads.
