Ohmie is another app built around the “Duolingo for X” idea, this time for electronics.
Just over a month after launch, it’s already reached the Education Top 100 in Slovenia.
More importantly, it may have already found its first winning hook.
On July 9, creator @stemgirly4 reached 200K Instagram views and 8K bookmarks with the hook:
“I love Gen Z because wdym someone made Duolingo for electronics???”
It opens with a shocked reaction before cutting straight into an app demo.
The comments are almost entirely people asking for the app’s name.
Now it’s time to scale the format across more creators.
