Bible BFF just hit another 9.2M views in the last month by pushing a format that feels closer to reaction content than app content.
Creators film themselves listening while Bible stories are retold like millennial gossip with Gen Z phrasing. The format is something in between a story time, reaction content, and a clip from a podcast.
Their main hook driving this wave right now has been as version of:
“God bless the girl who read through the entire Bible but made it sound like tea.”
Several accounts are posting versions of it, and it keeps landing.
One post from their top creator, @tessa.bible, hit 5.4M views on Instagram Reels in three weeks with that exact hook:
“God bless the girl who read through the entire Bible but made it sound like tea.”
She’s sitting at 46.9M views basically repeating the hook while testing different formats.
Another video already crossed 1M views with a slightly different setup: three girls sit in the car, press play, and react while a Bible story is told like gossip.
The app is being packaged as something you listen to for fun first.
If your app has content inside it, you can package that content like entertainment and let the reaction sell the product.
