Airbuds Turns Song Notifications Into Plot Twists

Airbuds is still expanding its creator system.

In the last 30 days, we tracked 79 accounts posting for the app, which shows the network is still active and still broad enough to keep testing new angles across different creators.

Over that same period the network pulled 12M views.

The format is leaning more towards emotional videos.

Creators are using songs as the center of the post, then adding a long text overlay that explains the feeling, memory, or situation attached to that track. Airbuds sits inside the hook as the place where the listening behavior shows up.

You can see it in hooks like:

1.9M views

“Thank you Robbie for disguising yourself as the most popular guy at Hollywood Arts, so that Tori would realize that he was a bad person and so Andre could write this great song.” (put it on Spotify for my Airbuds 😭)

They’re also plugging the app into relationship drama, a strategy we keep seeing work across almost every niche right now. We covered that playbook here if you want to see how to use it.

2.6M views

“broke up w my bf bc im moving 10 hours away and he just favorited this song on airbuds what do i even do”

Another strong example came from @camila.airbuds, who pulled 745K views with: “I was sleeping so peacefully until that asshole started calling me because it showed him on Airbuds that I was still listening to music”

This is an easy format to scale. Creators just need one video, a song, a situation to slip in the app’s name.

It’s spreading across Spanish and English accounts mainly.
