A new under-18 social app is already building early demand before launch.
Kelebek is a teen-only social platform set to launch near the end of summer 2026. It is designed to give teenagers a safer space to talk about their interests, meet new people, play games, and join competitions.

Kelebek is being built by Isla Johnson, who is also handling distribution herself through the @islajohnson.kelebek accounts on Instagram and TikTok.
So far, she has generated 1.2M total views across both platforms, mostly through simple selfie videos.
The biggest hit came on December 12, 2025, with a short video built around the hook:
“Congratulations on making a safe app for teens to connect and make friends. Now you need to post so teens find out about it” (The biggest hit happened on December 12, 2025, when she posted a video with the long hook:
“Congratulations on making a safe app for teens to connect and make friends. Now you need to post so teens find out about it” (693K views, 4K saves)
She films herself reacting to the reality of having to promote the app, which makes the post feel honest and low-pressure. At the same time, the hook creates genuine curiosity around the concept.
Her best-performing TikTok came a few weeks later, on January 3, 2026.
Instead of a short reaction-style post, this one was a longer founder-led explanation:
“Imagine if there was an app like Snapchat and a making friends app combined, but it was actually made safe for teens” (210K views, 2.7K saves)
The app has not even launched yet, but the founder is already doing two important things at once: building a waitlist and learning what kind of content gets people interested.
That matters even more for a social app, because these products need a community from day one.
