Sonder, the new dating app that’s ditching the usual swipe feature, launched six months ago.
The app is up against tough competition, with thousands of others in the same category. But based on this chart, it looks like it could be going head-to-head with the top apps in just a few months.
Sonder is running six accounts and has gathered 3.8M views so far.

The app was actually created by a group of four friends, who are now posting from their own TikTok accounts to promote the app and the events they host. They share short videos from these events to give followers a peek at what’s happening.
They have also been testing a slideshow format, showcasing the event with each photo paired with a fun comment or hook, so followers can really get a feel for what it was like.
People usually leave more comments on the videos format because they give a clearer idea of what the event was like.

At the same time, they continue producing headshot, green-screen videos where they talk on camera while showing the app in the background.
Along with promoting their app, the four creators also share videos about their lives in London, where all the app’s events are held.
But even though people are saving the videos, they’re not getting much interaction.
The main account sticks to the same style but also shares videos discussing the behind-the-scenes process of building the app.
Their events draw big crowds, but the content isn’t getting the same kind of engagement, at least not yet.
