Hangjam is absolutely crushing TikTok right now, with 112.8M views from 437 videos.
What’s interesting is they didn’t copy most Character AI competitors who pump out Dippy AI-style videos at super high volume.
That’s one of Dippy’s account styles.
Other examples of similar chatbots and strategies are Emochi AI, Crushon AI, and Bala AI.
Instead, they chose the opposite path by focusing on less volume and higher production value. The production is not Hollywood level, but it is clearly more polished than a few carousels put together programmatically.
They create premium-looking anime characters and build the app promo directly into the video itself. Their best account got 44M views using this exact format.
That character is now featured first on their website.

Another account uses a totally different style, with hooks that place c.ai and Hangjam back-to-back to create familiarity right away.
They also create a “fake animation” effect by slowly moving a static image and using clean transitions. It’s a smart approach because it looks like an animated story, but it’s clearly doable without huge cost.
Most of the content is soft erotica: it only implies what’s happening, teases the situation, and then pushes viewers to talk with the character on Hangjam at the end.
It’s basically an anime / soft romance version of the same marketing strategy OnlyFans models use.
These are the best performers. They’ve also made more explicit and intense versions that went viral, but those accounts tend to perform slightly worse overall.

The funnel is strong because the character you see on TikTok is the same one you can interact with in the app.
That creates higher retention: character is seen on TikTok first, then viewer become a user to chat with it on app or website.
The app is newer. The website has been around longer.
