AI has made its way into the fashion world from styling apps to garment design. But the real untapped opportunity? AI in the secondhand and vintage fashion industry.
In less than 60 days, this new AI fashion finder app has:
> 20,000 monthly downloads
> $7,000 MRR
and by using only five TikTok accounts:
Refind is a French app by the same owners of Vaste (launched a few months back).
How does the app work?
Their Google Play description reads:
“Snap, Find, Buy: Spotted something cool on Instagram, Pinterest, or walking down the street? With Refinds, just take a photo or screenshot, and we’ll instantly match you with similar secondhand items from Vinted, Depop, Vestiaire Collective, and Grailed.”
They are targeting and ranking in Europe only.

Of the five accounts they are running, four are ambassadors and one is branded.
The best account (5M views) is posting faceless content only: tt@nicole.myyers
Their format: a sequence of clothing images edited over a white background
Their hook: the best color a blondie girl can wear

Of course, these videos are great for virality, but less effective at actually converting.
So, Refind has tried to mix it with some selfie vlogs on other accounts. They all include a 3-5 second clip of a creator, then move straight to an app demo.

But there’s a hidden hack; it seems like these videos are not the face of a creator. They are clips of random (attractive) girls from other TikTok videos. They simply cut them and use them as an intro for their own app:

The drill is to repeat the same clip more than once with a slightly different hook.
Why is it genius? That’s endless content at a fraction of the cost.
So are they ambassadors? Probably not. It could be the same person running all these accounts.
