As a platform for cannabis product reviews and tracking, NugVue launched 146 days ago, enabling users to share their experiences, explore new products, and keep track of what they’ve used.

NugVue was created by Chimney Griff, a creator and entrepreneur with a long-time interest in cannabis culture and lifestyle. Before launching the app for product reviews and tracking, Griff already had a verified personal Instagram account where he focused exclusively on drug-related content.

In November 2024, he launched a podcast called After I Got High, where he talks about stories, personal experiences, and cannabis culture. After growing that audience, he went on to launch the NugVue app.

He’s built a strong community on Instagram that actively follows and engages with his content, which in turn has helped the app’s TikTok page grow.

At first, he was reposting the same videos from his personal account to the app’s TikTok, but they didn’t get much engagement.

The app’s account sticks to one format: Chimney doing street interviews with random people, all focused on the topic of drug use.

The videos get a ton of engagement, with tons of comments from people openly sharing their drug experiences, usually in a positive way.

Even though it’s the app’s official account, Chimney Griff also uses it to promote his podcast.

The podcast’s TikTok account also promotes the app, but it doesn’t get nearly as much engagement.

He has built a strong community on Instagram, and people seem to enjoy the street interview style he uses on the app’s TikTok. The next question is whether his followers will start downloading the app too.
