A drive tracker app launched about a month ago has already hit 8K downloads and climbed to around #20 in Navigation in the U.S.
Open Road started moving after it found the right way to frame the product on short-form.
They run both TikTok and Instagram pages and post aggressively, around 2–3 videos per day. Since starting in January 2026, they’ve pulled 2.1M total views.
The breakout angle is simple: Forza IRL.
On Feb 19, 2026, they posted their biggest hit so far on Instagram:
POV forza IRL has dropped… → 700K views.
That hook has been their main theme from the start, and it shows in the top performers. Most of the best videos reuse the same “Forza IRL” framing.
The structure of each video is also consistent. They open with an IRL driving clip that looks stylized enough to feel like a racing game, then cut into a phone demo of the app.
Instead of selling drive tracking directly, they sell the feeling first, turning normal driving footage into a game-like experience, then letting the app demo explain the product.
