A book. A big big book.

This guy was stuck on a Japanese island during COVID and turned a survival guide concept into a $3M Kickstarter and 400K+ copies sold worldwide, allegedly.
It’s a 400+ page, hand illustrated encyclopedia that covers thousands of years of human hacks, growth hacks but in real life.
Since a few months ago, a new strategy has been running with 30+ accounts posting talking videos and linking in their bios, all pointing to a 119 euro hardcover book.
“just in case the internet goes down…”
“just in case the world goes down…”
Creators are sharing tips directly from the book, often holding the book with the cover facing the camera so viewers can see it. It feels very natural and integrated into the long format content.
Even though the view counts feel relatively low, the product is over $100 and they have been consistently running these videos for a while now, which shows that something is working quite well.
