POV Meme Brings Study App First Organic Hit

Professor Curious, formerly known as ZuAI, helps students learn and solve schoolwork with AI.

The app didn’t begin posting consistently until August 2025.

Since then, three videos have clearly outperformed the rest, each with a different format.

#1 – Close‑up shock reaction

A classic TikTok reaction format.

“1000 years of struggling with math and I found out about this today” → 1.2M views

#2 – Headshot + real‑life action

The creator cuts an apple while explaining the benefits of the app, then shows the interface.

1.3M views

However, none of these videos appear to be organic.

#3 – The first truly organic moment

“POV: APUSH DBQ documents in 50 years” → 1.8M views

This is the first video that feels native to student culture. It jokes about the idea that today’s memes and influencers will become “serious historical documents” for future exams.

The post generated 1,076 comments, none of which relate to the app.

Quick context:

  • APUSH = AP U.S. History (a college‑level high school course)
  • DBQ = Document‑Based Question (students write an essay analyzing historical documents)
