In the last week alone, @aliradfordd pulled 8.3M views with basically one setup that he repeats with slight tweaks.

The biggest clip hit 6M views, one where he stands on camera holding a stack of books, but you never see what the books are.
Instead, the on-screen text labels the stack like a checklist of the kind of Enemies to Lovers he likes :“she falls first” / “he falls harder” / “YEARNING” / “angry love confession” etc.
There’s no real CTA in the video but there is the opportunity to convert in the comments. People are begging for the book titles.
One comment thread popped off with 102K likes asking: “So… what books??”

Then he repeats the exact same mechanic with tiny variations:
- Another post hit 1.1M views using the same kind of hook bait and a POV “Can I see your phone?” vs “Can I see your book?” while he’s holding a book.
