Something unusual happened on TikTok on September 9th.
One account posted 9 videos in a single day, and that sudden burst led to their biggest spike of the year.
The account belonged to Fastic-Weight Loss & Fasting, a health app launched in 2019.
The videos all follow a similar format: creators film their plates to show how they track their calories.
“pov: you think you’re hungry but you’re actually just thirsty” ->713.9k views
“When your gf is a tracker…” -> 642.9k views
Out of all the posts from that day, the most-viewed video isn’t about fasting, weight loss, or tracking.
It’s actually a promo for Guardio, a cybersecurity app.
“Crashing out because I thought all my socials were about to be hacked but my husband reminded me he downloaded Guardio”->847.5K views
This video may not have been fully organic.
Was it a test? A paid push? Whatever it was, it doesn’t seem like it was a strategy. Since late September, Fastic has returned to posting sporadically, without any regular cadence.
