New Face Search App Hits #30 in the US after 30 Days

A new face search app has climbed to around #30 in the U.S. after roughly a month live.

Sherlock lets you search for anyone’s online presence from just a picture of their face.

So far it has hit around 10K downloads and hit 2.4M total views.

They are already running a TikTok led UGC wave made up of 24 creator accounts, who post a wide variety of storyline content.

The other thing that stands out is how the accounts get warmed up.

A lot of ambassadors start with videos that have nothing to do with the app. They use a relatability question to farm engagement first, then pivot into promotion once the account has traction.

For example, the first video ever uploaded from ambassador @alyyycole1 hit 613K views with a 14.2% engagement rate.

After a few breakup relatable posts, she transitioned into app demos framed around catching a boyfriend cheating and using the tool to identify who he was with.

But the breakup angle isn’t the only one being tested.

One creator, @jacob.fitzgerald59, hit 460K views by showing the app as a way to find criminals in the Epstein files.

Another creator, @neezy7753, is growing fast with long car story videos that feel like real time confessionals.

She posts the story in parts, makes it detailed enough to look real, then ties the app into the moment she identifies the girl involved. With less than ten videos she is already at 27K followers, and the comments consistently fill with people asking what she used to find the person.

There are smaller pockets starting too. One account is getting traction with teacher profile searches, using short reaction clips filmed in classroom settings.

Sherlock is stacking medium wins across many creators, with each one testing a different storyline and target audience.

Those pieces add up. And in just a month, it has already been enough to push the app into the U.S. top ranks.
