Lingotok, the AI language tutor app, just went viral again this time by borrowing a format we’ve already seen print for study apps.
You might recognize it as similar to the “AI forgets he’s not human” format we analyzed before. And it’s a perfect reminder that once you understand a format, you can adapt it to basically any app.
In the last 30 days, Lingotok’s network pulled 8.9M views and now one of their biggest spikes isn’t even coming from their first viral wave: the classic “why is [language] so hard” + crying face format.

Creators film themselves learning a language with their AI tutor until it says something absolutely absurd:
Like: “I’m so excited for our first date.”
Or: “I’ve always wanted to go skinny dipping”
Or: “I’m crazy in love with you”
The format: AI talks like it’s human → shocking answer→ shocked reaction.
But they’ve kept the same type of hooks: “Russian is so hard”, “Spanish is too easy”, and they work the best:
2.2M views “Russian is so so so hard”
1.6M views on “No way Sarah just said she’s in love me…” (this new AI-human energy)
One with a slightly different hook but the same “shock” reveal pulled 663.9k views
“I love my abuisve Spanish teacher”
