This format, made popular by creator @a_vmack, mixes two kinds of content to reach different audiences and hold the viewer’s attention.
It follows the “Get Ready With Me” (GRWM) format, where the creator does their makeup or gets ready while chatting.
At the same time, the creator shares niche facts, surprising details, or controversial takes on a specific topic.
Example:
“things about Harvard that would send people from others schools into a coma”
The creator keeps the viewer engaged by doing a familiar and satisfying task, like putting on makeup or following a skincare routine. It breaks up the info-heavy content and draws in beauty and routine-loving audiences.
This format is designed to pull in two types of viewers at once:
- Niche: Those curious about the topic being discussed (like students or academics).
- Mass: Viewers who enjoy beauty routines, calming visuals, or background noise while they scroll.
The best part is that this can work in any niche. You can tweak the “rant” style to fit whatever you’re focusing on, like “Truths About Health I Learned Too Late” or “How I Actually Learned Japanese Without a Tutor.”
