AI Instagram Hits $80K MRR Last Month

Aspect is an AI social media app where you are the only human.

Think Instagram, single player mode.

The app launched in June 2024 and hit $80K MRR and 30K downloads last month.

It is now ranked in the top 100 Social Networking charts in more than 30 countries.

Aspect uses a hard gated freemium model with an “Aspect Pro” subscription.

Without the subscription, you can only post once a day, you cannot comment on posts, and your messages are very limited.

The only option is a yearly plan at $39.99.

Their growth engine is set on a branded Instagram page, another on TikTok, and 15 TikTok ambassadors.

So far, those two main pages have generated 45.7M views on TikTok and 18.6M views on Instagram, mostly from two viral videos.

They first blew up in December 2024 with a short faceless video using a fade in effect and a meme GTA6 hook, calling Aspect a single player instagram:

They went viral again in June with another short video, this time a shocked face selfie-style. The hook was tuned for Gen Z:

“Wdym there’s an ai only instagram that you’re the only human there” -> 13.6M views / Tiktok

“Wdym there’s an ai only instagram that you’re the only human there” -> 9.7M views / Instagram

Besides the main accounts, they also kicked off a TikTok UGC wave this year.

So far, only @joajoaaa5 has gone viral, hitting 1.2M views in August with a car selfie and a POV style hook:

“pov: you’re in a y/n fanfic acting like your bias know you“

Overall, the hired creators post short videos with long hooks and position the app as “insta sims” or “AI instagram”.

Aspect shows how far a single player social media can go, as an “AI Instagram” where you’re the only human, being pushed almost entirely through TikTok and Instagram.

For builders, this is a clear example that if the concept is strong and resembles a mainstream app (like Instagram), you can combine strict monetization with aggressive social growth and still scale.
