Wellness and self-development apps are on fire right now.
Big shocker, right?
Manifest: Daily Journal is a new app ready to shake things up in the personal journal and organization space, launched in May 2024.
Despite the rather low monthly downloads, now at 6,000, the app seems to be outpacing its competitors.
So far, they’ve hit 24.2 million views with just one TikTok account.

All the videos on the official page feature the same creator, but they rely on a set of different formats.
The most viral videos are headshot clips, where the creator looks straight into the camera. What really grabs people is the hook, as she playfully teases and challenges the viewer right from the start.
The video sparked over a thousand comments:

She often reuses the same format, but tweaking the hook so that it becomes more about her own experience, rather than addressing the audience directly.
The views are high, but this video doesn’t get many comments.
Here’s some of their hooks:
- “When someone tries to tell me they’re not coming back but we are about to be in eclipse season….”
- “When I keep going viral for teaching you guys how to manifest a text or call in less than 24 hours and everyone keeps saying that it works for them”
Another format that’s doing well is a headshot video where she gives tips on how to manifest. Here, she never mentions the app, and just rambles about the subject of manifestation.
This video pulled in 1.3M views, 112.8K likes, 753 comments, and 54.6K bookmarks
The app’s account feels more like a personal creator page, which could be why it’s doing pretty well. It connects with the audience the same way a manifestation guru influencer would.
