Astra just spent three straight weeks parked at #1 on the App Store, pulling in around 800,000 downloads and more than $400K in revenue.
The wildest part? Almost all of it came from a single feature priced at $6.99 a week — “Find Your Soulmate.”
The astrology-meets-dating trend isn’t new. We covered it months ago when Starcrossed exploded in the same niche.
Originally, Astra was a life-advice app. But when TikTok’s “AI draws your future partner” trend took off, the team made a sharp pivot — shelving everything else to fully ride the wave.
Within two weeks, they’d hired over ten creators to promote the new feature.

Many of them had already been promoting Saga Stories, a Russian storytelling app, but nearly all have now switched to Astra and push it exclusively.
For Astra, this mainly meant no warm-up needed. The standout, tt@quinned1, racked up 19 million views with just three Astra videos.
Their breakout creator, @quinned1, pulled 19 million views from just three videos. Her biggest hit is a “soulmate drawing” that looks exactly like Justin Bieber.
Every Astra video follows the same simple formula:
- Drop the call-to-action
- Reveal the AI drawing
- Show the reaction
- Claim it’s accurate
The consistency lets creators produce tons of content fast, and TikTok’s algorithm recognizes the rhythm — rewarding it with more reach.
Meanwhile, Astra reinvests nearly all new subscription revenue into another round of creator videos, making it hard to tell what’s paid and what’s organic.
The hashtag #findyoursoulmate alone has added over 20 million views this week, keeping Astra glued to the top of the App Store long enough for organic chart momentum to take over.
