TikTok’s newest player: A language learning app

With 10 ambassadors, they managed to get 2,365,177 views in their first 60 days of TikTok marketing.

Released in 2022, Lingo Legend is not a new and shiny app. Imagine an app that is Stardew Valley meets your high school Spanish teacher. It’s basically a monster-battling RPG for language learners. Their website boasts, “your language learning adventure awaits”.

They’ve been making consistent, yet low revenue over the past few months (~$10-20K) with no distribution. But now, Lingo Legend is rising from the ashes and entering the TikTok arena.

And they’ve started aggressively: 10 ambassadors were hired in 22 days.

They all started on March 24th. They are all posting twice a day on average, and they found a solid format.

The format: Selfie-UGC videos with very long text hooks overlayed.

tt@mikaylaa.games got the most viral video yet with 537.9K views just 10 days after her first post.

And it’s not a one-hit wonder…

2nd best account tt@lizzy.legend1 had 19 videos outperforming the account median x2 with 416.7K views since April 1st.

Same UGC style with very similar long hooks:

At this pace, they might have an army of ambassadors by summer.

But they are still in the race against all of the other AI language games.

Remember the other language learning app that capitalized on the Duolingo PR scandal last month?
