3 Party Apps, 3 Different Paths to $500K MRR

Insight is a simple social game for iPhone and iPad, built around questions and dares you play with friends.

It sits around #91 on the charts, launched in 2023, and has roughly 90K downloads.

They run seven accounts in different languages, each explaining how the game works. The videos walk through the mechanics and include sample questions.

“POV: you found the best game to play this summer”->reached 6.6M views.

FakeI, another similar app, took the opposite route.

They simply show the game in action, and that alone pushed them to #5, over 1M downloads, and roughly $300K in revenue.

Their entire operation runs on just two accounts, one on Instagram and one on TikTok, which together have already pulled 98.3M views.

Then there’s WhoLiked, which follows a different logic altogether.

It’s a social guessing game where friends try to identify who liked or reposted certain videos. In just nine months, it has crossed 700K downloads and is generating around $200K per month.

The growth is visible everywhere: #21 overall on the App Store, and top 10 in multiple countries, including #2 in France and Portugal.

Their strength is an international creator network using the same hook, ‘Who gave like?’, with friends on camera, performance varies by language and timing.

The French version hit 649K views, then 1.1M when reposted, but the English version exploded to 7.2M.

These three apps take on the same challenge, getting strangers to care about a game, but each does it differently: Party Game teaches, FakeIt entertains, and WhoLiked scales, creating steady, explosive, and distributed growth.
