When the Audience Shows You the Way and You Don’t Follow

Peekz Campus: College Advice is a mobile app positioned as an AI‑powered personal assistant for navigating college life.

At a first glance, account @rosie.collegetips seems to stand out with 3.7 million views.

But most of her videos don’t feel completely organic.

“Junior year

House parties

Going to bars

Internship

Building resume

Going abroad

Focused on grades” → 963.2K views

The only exception was one post, a selfie with a hook asking people to share their wildest freshman-year stories.

“I’m bored comment ur most INSANE freshman year story. Not just ‘we got caught by the RAs’ like actually unhinged.” → 545.9K views and 1,718 comments.

And that’s what people did — they shared the stories.

But she never returned to that format, no have they seemed to use any of these insights to craft better hooks.

Engagement dropped again, and the app hasn’t seen a lift in downloads ever since.
