Next Month in Consumer App Growth

We’re kicking off a new monthly series where we analyze the top-performing apps and accounts and break down what worked in consumer app growth.

Here’s what we saw across short-form video and organic distribution this month.

This Month at a Glance

Over the past 30 days, 1.3B+ views and 62.9M (4.84%) in engagements. We analyzed more than 3300 accounts and 570k+ videos to understand what’s driving performance in the consumer app and short form video space.

These numbers come from performance across founder, UGC, ambassador, and network accounts, broken out by views, engagement, likes, comments, shares, and saves.

Every month comes with its own spikes and dips. So we reverse-engineered the tactics behind what worked (and why), which accounts outperformed the rest, the hooks and formats that went viral, and the repeatable patterns behind them, broken down below.

Overall growth is up and accelerating, with repeatable formats, faceless POVs, and emotional hooks driving more consistent scale than one-off virals. Networks and volume strategies are outperforming single-account breakouts across niches.

The Biggest Growth Stories

Musa

They just landed 40.8M views in 30 days, with multiple creators hitting different lanes (curiosity bait, relatable self-care, and launch content).

The biggest video this month was a slideshow that hit 3.5M views.

/

They usually don’t name the app in the video; it shows up in the comments when people ask/share symptoms.

They also announced the Android launch and pulled 693.1K views with 26K+ likes.

Symmetry

Symmetry is still printing, hitting #1 in Spain. 26.9M views in 30 days, led by one breakup-style TikTok that did most of the lifting (13.3M).

Noorly

Noorly is a daily Qur’an lock-screen widget app that launched 2 months ago and already hit 9K downloads, briefly reaching #5 in “References” in France and Belgium.

Their network pulled 3.3M views, with @salwa.nrl doing most of the volume: 4 faceless slideshow posts/day.

Roamy

Roamy didn’t reinvent the wheel, they just hammered one plane-shot hook until it scaled. As of Jan 2025, they’re at 500K downloads, and their UGC network pulled 29.9M views in the last 30 days.

Most of it is one creator repeating the same script. In the last six weeks, @marg.roamy posted near-identical videos with “I could LITERALLY kiss the flight attendant that showed me this,” one alone hit 25M.

New Trends To Hop On

  1. Lifestyle glow-up slideshows with “fresh start” hooks
  2. Minimal-equipment fitness challenges with time-bound results
  3. Negative ranking formats (“Worst waters of 2025”)

Niche Social Growth Guides

We also put together what we like to call The Niche Social Growth Guides, with the top hooks, formats, and strategies for each niche.

Basically, we did the research for you, so you can spend your time focusing on growth.

Each brief was built as an asset you can apply immediately.

New Players & Emerging Opportunities

Toxic AI

Toxic AI turned texting chaos into a product showcase using one clean format, the faceless iMessage drama demo that got them 3.8M views.

Drama → Perfect Reply → Copy → Send.

They’re running 5 faceless meme-style accounts, and it’s working, @lilybrehcot hit 1.4M, and @toxicaiapp hit 1.1M.

The payoff is always the same: flash the app interface and make the “send” moment feel irresistible.

Landa – Travel Tracker

After Pixa, the same team launched Landa. They’re still testing hard on one TikTok to find a winning lane.

They’re running three formats:

Early traction, but engagement is still pretty light overall.

Iori Flashcards

Iori’s street-interview “language surprise” skits are still printing: 13.6M views in 30 days.

Same loop every time (ask where they’re from → switch languages → “I learned it with Iori”), now posted in English to push beyond FrenchTok.

Two @ioriflashcards hits reached 3.5M views each, and a Reels repost pulled 1.4M.
