Let’s get started.

Niche Snapshot

Over the past 30 days, travel content has pulled 44.4M views, with an average of 6.1% engagement rate across the niche. On average, that’s roughly 1.4M views per day.

We analyzed 200+ accounts and nearly 20k videos to understand what’s driving performance in this space.

These numbers come from performance across founder, UGC, ambassador, and network accounts, broken out by views, engagement, likes, comments, shares, and saves.

The niche shows strong upside potential. Despite having relatively few apps, both accounts and products are already gaining meaningful views and momentum, signaling clear room for growth.

Every month comes with its own spikes and dips. So we reverse-engineered the tactics behind what worked (and why), which accounts outperformed the rest, the hooks and formats that went viral, and the repeatable patterns behind them, broken down below.

Apart from these top-performing hooks, you’ll find a detailed collection of over 200 hooks that are performing well in this niche.

UGC Hooks

We’ve pulled together the best hooks from viral UGC creators in the Travel space. This is usually the hardest stuff to track down since it’s scattered across TikTok, so we’ve done the work for you.

These are the top-performing hooks you need to keep up with rising trends. Take a handful of them, give them your own spin, and test them out over the month.

Breakout Accounts/Apps

Roamy

Roamy didn’t reinvent anything, they just hammered one plane-shot hook until it scaled. As of Jan 2025, they’re at 500K downloads, and their UGC network pulled 29.9M views in the last 30 days.

Most of it is one creator repeating the same script. In the last six weeks, @marg.roamy posted near-identical videos with “I could LITERALLY kiss the flight attendant that showed me this,” one alone hit 25M.

Then they kept it fresh with tiny remixes: “marry the flight attendant…” (648.2K)

And @sammy.roamy’s “kiss the Japanese man…” (1.6M).

The conversion is in the comments: people spam “App name?” and they reply “the app is @roamy.travel” → 3,136 likes.

Palima

Palima, an AI travel planner, has hit #1 in France in the last 30 days.

Despite being launched in 2023, we haven’t heard much about them.

But come last December, they went full in on UGC content, and have since started gaining some traction.

All their hooks are in French, but you can easily check the translations and get inspired.

Newcomers to Watch

Landa — Travel Tracker

After Pixa, the same team launched Landa. They’re still testing hard on one TikTok to find a winning lane.

They’re running three formats:

  • Pinterest-style slideshow (travel back-shot → app screenshot): 1–1.6K views
  • Multi-country photo montages (“oh to be traveling the world”): 7.1K
  • Screen recordings (app in action): best so far “Would you say this is someone who has traveled a lot?” → 73.3K views

Early traction, but engagement is still pretty light overall.
