This app is literally called “Booktok” and is trying to tap into the huge #BookTok community on TikTok.
With only one account running, it has already reached 52.7M views.
The account features multiple creators while maintaining one format. It is even likely that they are bulk purchasing or producing UGC reaction clips and simply editing them with the app demos.
Each video starts with one of those close-up of the creator’s face, then shifts to showing how the app works.
But the real driver of performance is the hooks.
On March 19 2025 they posted this hook for the first time and it got 30 views.
“Y’all were not kidding when you said they made a booktok app”
One month later, a new version of the same video reached 332.7K views.
Same creator, same opening shot, but a different reveal.
“I just found out you can make your own fantasy movie in like 2 mins?!?!?!”
