Photogeniq
Looks like AI pranks aren’t going anywhere. The AI image app Photogeniq went viral six days ago with a video that racked up 6.8 million views and over 1,000 comments.
The video came from one of their Spanish creators, with the hook translating to:
“I pranked my boyfriend by pretending I got his name tattooed, and it went really badly.”
This prank format has been popping up a lot lately, but for Photogeniq, it’s a shift in direction. Until now, the app had mostly focused on aspirational, Pinterest-style slideshows.
Musa
The period tracker app Musa keeps pulling in views with UGC-style slideshows.
In this one, they tapped into the New Year energy, using a cover photo with the hook “starting the year right…”, originally written in Spanish.
The second slide shows a screenshot of the app, with a ❤️ emoji showing up in the first few days of the calendar. They tried to boost engagement by timing it with her period, but judging by the comments, it didn’t really land.
Still, the video pulled 3.4 million views and nearly 3,000 comments, and it quickly became the creator’s most-watched post so far.
Symmetry
Another UGC-style slideshow is blowing up, this time from the fitness app Symmetry.
They took a bit of a gamble here, and it worked. Instead of the usual fitness angle, they tapped into relationship drama to make their app name stick. It paid off.
The first slide shows a couple hugging, with the hook (in Spanish again, not on purpose): “4 years in a relationship and out of the blue she just sent me this…”
The second slide shows two notifications: one from his girlfriend, softly breaking up with him, and right below it, a reminder from Symmetry to train.
12.7 million views, nearly a million likes, and close to 14,000 comments.
Pixory Travel Books
These photo albums have been blowing up on TikTok lately, proving again that UGC doesn’t only work for apps.
“Imagine your future daughter seeing how rich your 20s were 🥺😭✈️”
She flips the camera around to reveal a huge stack of photo albums, then opens a few to show what’s inside.
The video went up last week and hit 6 million views, 701k likes, and 1.6k comments.
Loverzz
Loverzz is an eight-month old couples app featuring little games and widgets.
A few days ago, one of their talking, couple videos went viral and pulled 1.3 million views.
It sticks to their usual format: a “would you rather” style game where the couple plays together while the app shows each question on screen.
Widgetable
Last but not least, another couples-focused widget app.
One of their creators pulled in 768k views six days ago with a four-slide carousel post.
The hook “texts from my ex vs my bf” was paired with screenshots of the widgets, which had people in the comments asking what app it was.
