Launched in 2019, the Gratitude Plus journaling app only began building its own community on TikTok in December 2024.
The app is now running at 80,000 monthly downloads and $100,000 monthly recurring revenue.
Right now, the team is managing 16 accounts that have gained over 124 million views in total.

Their posts usually follow one of two formats.
Format #1 – Image sequence
Each post has 4 to 6 photos.
The first photo shows the creator.
The rest are screenshots of the app.
All images include a static hook overlay.
Format #2 – close-up shots
Begins with a headshot video of the creator.
Next comes a screen recording of the app, showing someone using it live and in real time.
It starts with a hook that highlights how the app has helped improve their mindset and overall life.
Here are a few sample hooks:
- “doing this every day with my bf has completely changed my life”
- “i was struggling with my mental health on my own but i managed to win & turned things around fast”
- “my life changed when i learned telling your bf you’re grateful for him makes YOU a happier person”
- “The best habit I’ve started is journaling 3 gratitude daily. It reminds me of God’s blessings, reminds me to be thankful & keeps my mama in check from toxic social media. I literally can’t recommend it enough”
But their content still has a very low engagement rate overall.

One of the videos reached an impressive 28.9% engagement rate. Unlike the other videos, this one focuses on reality versus perspective and includes clear examples.
App screenshots are shown in the corner of the screen.
