A BeReal style daily photo app just pulled 5 million views from one slideshow.
Dibil is a social daily photo app with a new theme every day. The app launched less than two months ago and is already running a considerably large UGC operation.
Out of 28 total accounts, 26 are ambassadors.
One of them, @corey.irl, seems to have found a winning strategy.
On November 12, he posted an “anti-AI” slideshow titled:
“things I refuse to do as someone who is anti-AI”
Now it sits at 5 million views and 18K bookmarks.
The first slides stayed generic.
“I don’t use ChatGPT.”
“I don’t plan trips with AI.”
The last slide gets specific.
“I don’t use AI apps.”
“my fav app is dibil.”
A month earlier, @hani.dailyflicks had the first breakout with a POV hook selfie video:
“POV: you finally found the app that forces you to stop rotting in bed” -> 192K
And the most recent win came from @ash.flicks a few days ago.
A shaky head and a long hook in a short video.
Dibil shows a team that is learning fast.
They are rapidly finding the winning strategies with a large ambassador program.
A download boom seems inevitable.
Stay tuned, we will keep you updated on whether this newcomer becomes the next BeReal.
