There’s a new trend on TikTok, especially built for faceless slideshow formats and text-convo screenshots.
People have started sharing unhinged, funny, audacious texts they received from their partner, parent, sibling, etc, preceded by the hook:
“Sometimes you just have to read your [insert person]’s text and move on with your day”.
It can work for any niche, as it’s not so much about what the text says as it is about how it was said.
This example pulled in 1.6M views:
While this other one went for a slight variation on the hook, with “ignoring” instead of “reading”. It hit an insane 9.3M views, over 1M likes and 12,400 comments.
Pro tip: you can place your app CTA within the text, as a recommendation or advice (ex: “i’ve noticed you gained weight sweetie, have you tried this app that tracks your calories”).
