This Louie guy (most likely the founder since no other account seems tied to the app) has been cloning a winning format with huge success and is absolutely crushing it right now.
He started with the classic face-react to app demo. It’s still working great, no matter what the big-statement Twitter crowd claims.
Side note here: always follow the data, not the yappers. A perfect fit, considering the app itself is called Yapper.
Then they hit a major breakthrough with a 6M view video starring… a cat.
The website URL appears twice in the screen recording, which is how they convert all the curious people who want to try the prank themselves.
After digging a bit more, it turned out other apps were also pushing this format and racking up crazy view numbers too.
It might be here to stay…
