New AI Skincare App Hits 26.4M Views in 60 Days

Just 63 days in, Dewly is already aiming to change how we do skincare with smart, AI-driven personal recommendations.

The app is still new, with just six active accounts so far, but it’s already racked up 26.4M views. A few of their posts look like they were boosted, but most have picked up organic traction on their own.

All the accounts on the app follow a similar pattern, using AI-generated headshots. The videos are short and only show a small movement to highlight the condition of their skin.

The videos show two kinds of AI-generated girls. One type has skin covered in pimples and marks, and the captions focus on how acne affects self-esteem and mental health, the ongoing struggle, the emotional toll, and the feeling of vulnerability.

Some of their best hooks:

  • “do u ever feel pretty then see ur acne in a mirror and say nvm”
  • “a little kid just asked me why my face looked like that”
  • “no matter how much I spend or what I do I wake up like this anyways what’s the point”
  • “maybe if I fell in love with my acne it would leave me too”
  • “tysm for pointing out my acne and ruining the rest of my day as I pretend it didn’t affect me”

Then there are the videos where the creator shows her now-clear skin. These focus on the healing journey and the emotional change after treatment, the sense of relief, the joy of moving past a tough time, and the renewed confidence that comes with recovery.

Here are examples of the hooks from these videos:

  • “it took nuking my mental health and skin before the acne went away 🫠”
  • “I wouldn’t wish the acne I had on my literal worst enemy”
  • “how I got rid of my acne”
  • “friendly reminder u haven’t lost ur spark u just need clear skin ✨”

This small detail changes everything. The second type of video gets almost no engagement and what little it does get feels paid, while the first type draws strong, natural interaction.

This video got a lot of comments because people relate to the situation, many have gone through it themselves.

A lot of the videos don’t mention the app directly or show any links. Instead, the creators drop the app’s name in comments on each other’s posts.
