9.9M Views: Before and After

About nine months ago, a new app was launched to offer a simpler way to manage home viewings and the home buying process.

Since then, Hntr has reached 9.9M views across two accounts.

Official page uses a mix of content formats. It began with slideshow posts, usually starting with a photo of the founder to make it feel like she’s speaking directly to the audience. The next slides show spaces, each one tied together with a simple hook that builds a story, often about how the app came to be.

 …or how it works:

The account also shares fun videos about home buying, usually featuring a photo of a space with a movie or TV character clip added as a sticker for a touch of humor. A hook related to buying a home is then added on top.

Even though these videos don’t get much engagement, the founder is replying to every single one of the comments.

The founder also runs a separate account, @camilladc, where she shares videos about another part of the app, home renovation and improvement.

She sticks to the same format for these videos, a slideshow showing the renovation step by step, from before to after, with each slide including a short hook that explains what’s going on in the photo.

While the first two formats are engaging, they don’t get as much attention as the third. People love seeing the full process, especially when the end result looks great. Putting more focus on this type of content could help boost app downloads.
