In half a year, it has already climbed to top #12, with 30K downloads and $30K in revenue.
That growth curve is unusual for a brand‑new dev tool, and the most interesting part is where the traffic seems to be coming from.
The biggest comedian and content creator in Iceland, Greipur Hjaltason, has recently started promoting the app.
He has 881.6K followers on TikTok, built entirely on comedy content.
But recently, he started posting as if he’d had built the app himself.
The video has only reached 1,113 views so far. It remains unclear whether this strategy will lead into downloads, but we’ll keep an eye out.
