Halo AI is marketed as an AI photo editor, but on TikTok the app is becoming the go-to tool for rage-bait pranks.
Released 46 days ago, the app is already generating a surprising level of reach, with 17.6M views in the last 30 days, coming from less than 10 creator accounts (almost the entire 17.8M lifetime views).

All creator accounts show up as regular people who enjoy pulling pranks.
But you can instantly spot a Halo user because they all follow the exact same script when it comes to their posts: take a normal picture, modify it with absurd AI edits, send it to a parent or roommate, and film the text-message fallout.
Sounds familiar? Probably because it’s a different spin on the banger format Cantina, the AI social app, used and blew up to millions on views.
“Cooking my sister’s pet pig as a prank (I got kicked out)” -> 4.7 M views
This video was posted again on TikTok with a slightly different framing and pulled 1.8M views.
“Pranking my roommate that her guinea pig got fat while she’s away 😭😭”
“Car crash prank on my dad (he’s Asian asf)” -> 2.1 M views
The Format: Take a real photo → AI Edit → Prank → Text Reaction
Halo AI didn’t go viral because people needed a photo editor.
It went viral because people feel like they can now document their pranks and are living for it.
