PrivacyHawk had an underwhelming performance on TikTok despite being a strong revenue app.
The app makes well over $100K and experimented with UGC multi account marketing for a few weeks starting in late August.
They tested a format inspired by settlement style ads, using direct talking videos with a warning hook that explains a data breach right away.
They also experimented with wall of text videos that clearly list out every data leak.
None of these approaches worked. Across more than 600 videos and 12 different accounts, not a single video passed 8K views.
