Some formats look scalable on paper, until the numbers say otherwise.
Natively.dev is a seven‑month‑old platform that uses AI to generate mobile apps from an idea or design.
Across TikTok, we found a network of 14 accounts.
Posting began in June, paused in August, and resumed in October, which turned out to be their strongest month so far.
Format:
- a headshot of a creator
- acting as a computer‑science student
- delivering a scripted hook about job rejection or opportunity
Some creators post in French, others in English. But the structure never changes.
They have two types of hooks.
- The rejection hook
Creators act as if they were just rejected from an entry-level role for lacking a CS degree or side projects, then claim the platform could have helped them build apps.
2. The “born in the right generation” hook
Creators express excitement about living in a time where you can build an app without coding.
“I was clearly born in the right generation — wait, what do you mean there’s a site where you can throw in any app idea (or even just a design) and it builds the whole app for you without coding, then sends it straight to iOS and Android???” (translated from French) -> 91.5k views
Even with 14 accounts using the same format, most videos still underperform.
But one video went viral, reaching 1.7M views.
English version:
“I was born in the right generation because instead of struggling to focus during my studies, I can create an application that contains everything I need to focus: a calendar, a deadline tracker, and a timer.”
It’s the only video that breaks through and none of the replicas manage to repeat the spike.
