Yope is quietly putting together the largest UGC empire.
The newest stats say it all.
With 145 ambassadors pulling in over 207 million views, 17 million likes, 5.2 million shares and 2 million saves, their momentum is… undeniable.
They cracked the top 30 in the US Lifestyle charts just a few months ago.
Now they are setting their sights on a global takeover, and honestly… it looks like they will conquer the world a way few social app did before.

App & Founders
Never heard of Yope? Let us paint the picture.
Every day, each friend drops one raw, unfiltered photo, and the group feed unlocks only after everyone posts.
It’s 2025’s answer to BeReal.
Sorry Voodoo… you might be cooked.
Launched in 2022 by Bahram Ismailau (CEO) and Pavel Rudkouski (CTO), Yope racked up 20M!! downloads in the past month only.

Right now, it hovers around number 180 in the US App Store’s Lifestyle chart, but don’t be fooled; they’re playing an entirely different game.
Hyper-local International Expansion
Yope is on a global spree.
In just three weeks, it shot to the top spot in Portugal, France, and Belgium.

Check out its latest Lifestyle rankings:

The playbook is obvious: pull back in the US, where competition might be giving them troubles, and double down on Europe and South America.
Let’s see exactly how they made that happen.
It’s all in the numbers…
Yope’s strategy on TikTok and Reels lies in… sheer volume.
They manage 145 accounts run by ambassadors all over the world, and it is much more complex than it sounds.

Most profiles carry the familiar “@yope” tag.
Real traction did not arrive until last October, but now the numbers are flying.
Just last month they logged 20 million views, 411 000 shares and 222 000 saves.
The secret is a relentless posting rythm.
They post an average of 69.6 posts every single day across TikTok and Reels.

With an upload rate this high, all they need is for one or two videos to blow up. Every new account they add increases the odds.
Twenty-six out of 145 ambassadors have already hit one million views.
Nine of those twenty-six are above the ten-million mark.
Looks like a power law.
To double reach instantly, every ambassador mirrors each TikTok upload on Instagram Reels. Same clip, two taps, twice the exposure.

Here’s where things get interesting.
Yope’s All Stars Squad
A surprising number of their top creators have gone silent.
This includes their all-time best ambassador, @guada.yope, who had previously set the record with 42.4 million total views.
More than thirty accounts appear to have vanished overnight. Hard to abstract why. Maybe they’ve changed provider or moved in-house.
Meet the current stars, along with their winning formats and hooks:
@mar.yope
Mar is a longtime acquaintance of anyone marketing a social app.
She is known for creating viral content for other apps such as Couple Joy and the Glam AI Video Editor.
For Yope, she has pulled in more than 40 million views. She also boasts the highest engagement rate at an impressive 19.16 percent, which is remarkable for an account of this size.

Her content is 100% in Spanish. Her winning trick is using long hooks over a face shot.
Her hits follow a predictable pattern (translated from Spanish):
- “Me telling my friends that if we download Yope and on January 1st we create a secret album where we add a photo every day, by the end of the year we’ll have a movie with all our memories from 2025!! <3″ → 5.4M views
- “Me when I explain to my friends that we have exactly 7 days to download Yope and create a group on January 1st so we can have a photo recap of our entire year to watch like a movie.” → 4.1M views
- “Me explaining to my boyfriend how we literally have 4 DAYS to download Yope so on January 1st we can create a secret album of us and at the end of the year have a recap movie with all our memories.” → 4.5M views
@yrrah.yope
This creator has been around since the beginning of Yope’s TikTok presence. She has pulled 22 million views from the Philippines, where she is from.
Her hooks often mix English and Tagalog.
She has also gone viral with a similar style of long hooks, but that is not her only approach.
Some of her top-performing videos are entirely faceless app demos and moving landscapes, like a camera recording, with a text hook over them.

The hits:
- “me explaining to my friends that we only have 4 DAYS to download Yope and create a group album so that on January 1st we will have a recap of photos from the entire year of 2025 to watch like a movie” → 2.8M views
- “New year idea‼️Make a secret group album on the Yope app, then add pics daily (starting now), and by the end of the year, you’ll have a movie recap for this year.” → 2.3M views
- “why do you always take pictures of everything?” → 1.2M views
@martu_yope
Martu is a very recent hire, who only started posting in May 27 but already has over 18.5M views.
All her content is in Spanish. Three of her videos blew up, with the most popular hitting 12.9M views, 731K likes, one thousand comments and 100K bookmarks.

Unlike the other two, Martu has been going viral mostly with short hooks, a lot of them repeated time after time.
Here’s the scoop:
- “I found a new way to annoy my boyfriend” → 12.9M views (mentioned above)
- “You’re friends but you don’t use this app???! ????????” → 3.3M views + 1.8M views
- “pov: you get addicted to an app that lets you send photos directly to your friends’ screens” → 547K views

The Polish hits:
- “Everyone who sees this video will not lose contact with their friend. Tag the person you don’t want to lose contact with (You have one minute)” → 391K views
- “The cutest app for couples <3 / Android & iOS /” → 535K views
- “To my friend with whom I may not see often, but we are always there for each other and can tell each other everything without fear.” → 423K views
The Overarching Strategy
Pretty much all of Yope’s ambassadors follow a very similar format:
Part 1: 2-4 second UGC clip (dancing, lip syncing, acting shocked, etc)
Part 2: app demo directly recorded on-screen

And that is the secret. Yope nails virality by opening with hooks that feel organic, then slipping the app into the story only after you are already hooked.
Every ambassador is hand-picked to own a region they want to break into.
Their South American surge comes from one simple insight: treat Spanish-speaking countries as a single, massive audience.
That gives them a pool of nearly 200 million Gen Z and Gen Alpha users, Brazil included.
Many apps drop one influencer into every country that shares a language and call it a day. That falls apart when accents, slang and culture drift apart as much as they do between Portugal and Brazil.
Yope spotted the gap and signed a native Portuguese creator just for Portugal. That is hyperlocal done right.

@debora.yope is laser-focused on Portugal. She posts in PT Portuguese, tags #tiktokportugal, and already has four clips over 100 000 views, even though she only started on 20 June.
Meanwhile, @luisapineapple is creating for Brazil.
Every Spanish-language account follows the same playbook.
Yope’s hook dataset
In TikTok marketing, one rule never changes: an app only takes off when it finds a hook worth repeating until the views stop.

That’s it for this issue.
