After Rizz’s massive success in the last two years, it seemed like the AI texting use cases were slowing down.
Now, the charts battle in the AI conversation assistance niche (or the “digital rizz” market) is centered on two iOS apps that turn the keyboard into a messaging coaching tool.
Keys AI, launched in 2020 by Charmed Inc., established itself as the original “AI Coach.” Its value proposition focuses on deep context analysis, using screenshots to provide personalized, coaching-style suggestions, and it boasts advanced features like DALL·E image generation.
This premium approach is reflected in its higher price point, with subscriptions typically starting around $4.99 weekly.

In contrast, xKey, a newer entrant from February 2025, focuses on “Instant Smart Reply,” emphasizing speed and how quickly users can change the text’s tone. Its weekly subscription starts at just $2.99.

Despite their difference in age and strategy, both apps registered less than 5K new downloads last month.
Why is that?
The pioneer, Keys AI, launched a single account in July 2023 but quickly abandoned it one month later, resulting in just 8K total views…

In contrast, xKey has launched two accounts just last month, accumulating 36K views and 3.2K likes so far.

Keys AI established a single official account, in which it inserted promotional videos produced by paid and already recognized creators. They also came up with a few paid partnerships, which turned out to be the most productive effort.

xKey, on the other hand, seems to be taking the firsts steps into building an ambassador network.
And the first two creators are nothing less than two organic virality veterans, Mar and Marina. Both of them have gone viral time and time again working for apps like Yope, Couple Joy, Snap it and StressWatch.

Both are posting the traditional Gen Z UGC mix: short silent clips with face close-up, followed by an app demo.
None of their posts have blown out yet, but here’s a roundup of some hooks they’ve been testing:
