Trip BFF: 30 New Ambassadors, 475M Views

The last time we covered TripBFF, we talked about how their ambassador strategy was starting to gain traction and it turns out they didn’t slow down.

Since January, they’ve launched 30+ new ambassador accounts on TikTok, all using nearly identical formats. Think:

  • Girl talking straight to the camera
  • Long text hooks covering half the screen
  • A personal “study abroad / solo travel” confession
  • Ending with the same call-to-action: “always check who’s already there ????”

The format is simple, replicable, and scalable. One template you can hand to dozens of small creators and fill the travel niche overnight.

Most popular hooks:

  • “No gatekeeping: this is how I met most of my friends abroad >>>” – 35.1K views
  • “The way I plan trips is kinda backwards… I start with people, not flights.” – 1.4K–3.4K views
  • “Am I the only one that didn’t know there’s an app to meet friends studying abroad??” – 1.5K views
  • “Travel but smarter: I always check who’s already there ????” – 1.6K–2.8K views
  • “Me before booking a flight: check who’s gonna be there ????” – 1.8K views
  • “BRUH they made a Snap Map but for study abroad ????” – 156–1.7K views
  • “I just moved to [city] and this is what I’m using to make friends abroad >>” – 1.2K–1.9K views
  • “Wanna travel but have nobody to go with??” – 603.9K views
  • “Spent 2 years solo traveling and I find this NOW???” – 1.7K views

“So I went abroad for a year just to find this the DAY before I leave?!” – 1.9K views

Although the new accounts have not gone viral yet, they are generating views. And when you have an army of UGC ambassadors posting consistently, the views add up quickly… See for yourself:

They reached 475.5M of lifetime views across all accounts.

For an app that only kicked off ambassadors in January and added a fresh wave in the last two months… those views aren’t bad at all.

Their first wave of ambassadors in January showed growth but the September rollout of 20 + accounts created their strongest wave yet, driving the highest peaks in views.

The four accounts driving over a million views, @julia.tripbff, @sofiatraveling, @izzytraveling and @paige.tripbff, have been posting in January proving that the early ambassadors are still carrying the momentum.
