Untapped TikTok Local Search

This spot always has a queue of 50+ people – almost every single day – at peak time. Only foreigners. Most of them discover it through TikTok or Instagram.
Crazy.
In the same way that people design apps to ride the TikTok algorithm, an untapped opportunity is to:
Boost, or even create local places (restaurants, shops, museums, real estates…) entirely powered by mass organic video marketing.
Think of it like how Glam and other apps were thoughtfully designed with an end-to-end input/output fit for short form video algorithms.
Knowing that ranking locally is relatively easy; there is insane top funnel traffic opportunities.
Another micro-strategy win lies in attracting tourists and visitors to those local establishments.
Think about it: younger city visitors mostly search through social media or video platforms.
So if you:
Flood platforms with videos in targeted search languages, in our example above for phrases like:
- “Best kebab in Lisbon”
- “Meilleur kebab à Lisbonne”
- “Bester Kebab in Lissabon”
…you’d tap into a goldmine.
Especially in the EU, people often search in their native language. No one seems to be ranking for those example queries.
The phrase “This place is famous on Instagram” pops up all the time recently.
And engineering virality in a low-competition niche vertical is surprisingly straightforward.
This approach could apply to any type of local business, and the unit economics work even better for high-ticket establishments where the ROI can be massive.
I’ve made a Twitter thread here about a friend of mine doing TikTok videos for a local recruiting agency.
He’s driving hundreds of leads through them. He converted a % of them. He’s making multiple thousands per hired candidate. Insane ROI.

Vision Wrappers: Endless Opportunities
They took Levelsio’s web app and turned it into a mobile app: Home AI is allegedly doing $300,000 MRR in just six months post-release.

There are so many more TikTok-powered, Vision-wrapper money-making opportunities out there.
In the interior AI niche – these two apps started ranking heavily and pulling in solid MRR:
AI Interior Design – Interio
AI Remodel Your Home Design
They only have a few videos on TikTok. Most of their growth seems to come from ads or other channels.
If you search “home AI” on TikTok (example search), you’ll find a bunch of videos—most of which are from individual apps like Archaiapp or remodeled.ai, along with some paid influencer videos.
However, most of these videos are heavily ad-boosted.
It doesn’t seem like anyone has truly dominated TikTok organic in this category yet.
There’s a significant opportunity to build more apps in this niche and replicate strategies like those used by Cal AI or Glam/Rayz.
There’s also room for more verticalized approaches—focusing on niche, fandom-specific angles within the home improvement space.

Looking at successful multi million dollar vision wrappers like Cal AI, Home AI, or even Glam AI, it’s clear that there’s an opportunity to repeat success…
…with a strategic mix of paid ads + influencer campaigns + mass content creation.
Far from saturation. Especially with new models being released weekly.
I look at the App Store every day and see countless vision wrappers coming and going, grabbing market share within their verticals.
Collection of Ambassadors
In the previous edition of this newsletter, I mainly discussed mass ambassador marketing—strategies used by Airbuds, Pengu, SUSH, Locket, and more.
To make things easier, I’ve created a Shortimize collection of all the ambassador accounts from these various mobile apps, which you can check out here:

On the page, you’ll be able to sort through the high-performing ones and identify which types of videos work best.
It’s meant to serve as inspiration—to help you craft and scale your own organic growth strategy.
I’ve also added more strategies and analysis on the Social Growth Engineers blog, which you can find here.
