Last summer, Rayz took over the brand new “AI tanning” niche with a scheme of endlessly repurposed content, then:

They went off the radar. It’s a seasonal game and the team behind it moved on to grander things (aka StudyTok, with Einstein and Feynman AI)
But a few days ago, I spotted some paranormal activity:
tt@abiscootss (new account) started posting 8 days ago 3 out of 11 videos outperforming acc median by >10x (some seem boosted by paid ads)
The interesting part is:

Same videos. Still, only this account (old ones stopped posting last Nov). they’re the geniuses of repurposing repurposed content.
The red bikini girl is back from last year (twice)

Despite low organic views so far, they have already a bunch of “what’s the app??” comments
And managed to keep a solid $40,000 all throughout the lower season.
But did they see this coming for round 2:


Dozens of app copycats (might be our fault doing a viral post about their strategy… oops).
Only these 3 are marketing on TikTok/Reels:


1/ Sunsafe
These guys have been around since last year and posting non-stop. $10K & 30K downloads, #38 App Store.
Recently innovated with this faceless format: 707K views, 76K likes, 146 comments.
“POV: you’re tanning”:

Now they only post AI-generated UGC.
Less than 50k views so far. Still the closest contender:

2/ Tan AI
Launched in Jan, no revenue yet. Also repurposing existing girl tanning videos, low views.
Posting since Jan 2025 on tt@download.tan.ai: 186K views.

3/ Sunglow
Not launched yet but spamming TikTok with the same style of video across loads of accounts like tt@sunglow.app & tt@calliesummerr
