Three months ago, Mathew and Brock shipped Catchr, an AI-powered fishing app, after meeting in person only once.
They’ve completely bootstrapped to 58 million TikTok views, 65K downloads each month, and about $40K in monthly recurring revenue (that’s $500 k ARR).

The app works like this:

And their entire growth engine fits on two TikTok accounts, one per founder, though almost every view comes from Brock’s feed.

Since April 12 his single account stacked up 54.6 million views by repeating the same, dead-simple recipe: a two-second UGC hook, a quick in-app demo, and a headline that drops the words “Pokémon Go.”
Clips like “bros got Pokémon Go for fishing” (17 M views) and “POV: I tried to make a ranked fishing app” (9.8 M views) are their best hits.
All start by showing the founder fishing and catching something, then uploading a picture on the app to identify and save it.
Meanwhile the second account is still warming up.
We know a lot of you get stuck overthinking where you should build. But they’re showing how you can really just find a sub-niche you care about, build an AI twist, and keep the camera rolling.
Your first million might be a lot closer than you think.
